Enable Samsung Pay in Your Samsung Phone When You buy it from another Country where Samsung Pay is Unavailable.
I write this blog from my own experience.
Couple of months back I had bought a Samsung Galaxy S8 from Germany where Samsung Pay is not yet released. (Still Samsung is in discussion with German banks for the collaboration.) and I brought it to India. I was sad that I could not enable Samsung Pay in India even though it was available in India. The reason was Samsung phones will always try to reach the servers for updates in the country where it was sold from. Also in Samsung Apps store, application's descriptions were written German language.
I did contact Samsung Germany's support as well as Samsung India's support unfortunately both had left me in darkness. They informed me that I must wait until Samsung Pay is launched in Germany. Once it is launched, my mobile will be able to download and install Samsung Pay from German servers and use it in India.
I am not here to complain or blame Samsung support. Instead, I found a simple way to get it work in a country where Samsung Pay is available while it is bought from another country where Samsung Pay is not yet available. I would like to share this info with you.
If anyone of you are facing this issue, just do the factory reset your phone after putting a SIM card of your current country. By doing this, your phone will be locked with your current country. And next time when you try to install Samsung Pay, it will get automatically connected to your current country's Samsung servers and Samsung Pay will get installed. This will also change the language to English in Samsung App store.
I hope this helped you.
Cheers!!
